En mi obra fotográfica busco acercarme a la mutación de la forma, al desvanecimiento y a la transformación en un elemento que no es fácilmente reconocible, aunque conserve características que lo delatan. La representación de un grupo específico revela similitudes y coincidencias de diverso orden, pero al mismo tiempo elimina contornos definidos de una imagen clara y absoluta.
Técnicamente trabajo con la acumulación de capas, las que una sobre otra crean un cuerpo cada vez más difuso. La imagen trabajada de manera digital y puesta en negativo remite tanto al interior de dicho elemento como a una técnica analógica inexistente en este proceso.
Me interesa el resultado que se aleja del carácter identificable de las tipologías con las que trabajo. Estas al ser parte del entorno cotidiano o ser elementos representativos de una sociedad forman parte del saber colectivo; entonces al presentarlos de una forma alterada se crea una interferencia entre la imagen preconcebida y la que se propone.
Así se puede dar un punto de quiebre.
In my photographic work, I seek to approach the mutation of form, fading and transformation into an element that is not easily recognizable, even if it has characteristics that reveal it. The representation of a specific group reveals similarities and coincidences of different order, but at the same time it eliminates defined contours of a clear and absolute image. Technically I work with the accumulation of layers, which one on top of the other create a more and more diffuse body. The digitally worked image refers both to the interior of the element and to an analog technique that does not exist in this process. I am interested in the result that departs from the identifiable nature of the typologies with which I work. These being part of the everyday environment or being representative elements of a society are part of the collective knowledge; then when presenting them in an altered way an interference is created between the preconceived image and the one that is proposed. So you can give a break point.
