Las culturas pre hispánicas tuvieron un especial interés en representaciones en cerámica de diversos temas  de

su sociedad : actividades productivas, recreativas, elementos del mundo vegetal y animal, la muerte, escenas bélicas, las enfermedades como también las de carácter sexual. En específico la cultura Moche que se situó en

la zona norte del actual Perú. Los órganos sexuales y las posturas durante el coito son representadas de manera explícita sin el pudor que llegó después desde occidente.Los estados del cuerpo femenino en el caso del embarazo y el parto son también escenas cotidianas.

Pre-Hispanic cultures had a special interest in ceramic representations of many subjects of their society: productive and recreational activities, elements of the plant and animal world, death, war scenes, diseases, and also of a sexual nature. Specifically, the Moche culture that was in the north of the current Peru. The sexual organs and postures during intercourse are explicitly represented without the modesty that came later from the West.

The states of the female body in the case of pregnancy and childbirth are also daily scenes.
