En la ciudad de El Alto en Bolivia se desarrolla desde hace unos años  una peculiar arquitectura urbana que se expande por el altiplano ofreciendo coloridas estructuras con llamativos acabados.  Esto, aparte de ser una manera de expresión estética del arquitecto y el dueño de dicho edificio es la  voz de identidad de una clase social pujante, comerciante y emprendedora que no se limita al momento de planificar y construir un hogar que cumpla múltiples funciones.
Estas edificaciones son fácilmente identificables por tener características como el uso de colores y fachadas laboriosamente trabajadas con molduras y aplicaciones. Por eso me interesaba llevar estas estructuras a sus líneas más básicas, forzando así la distancia posible del reconocimiento para el espectador.
Estas imágenes se enfrentan a otra situación fuera de su contexto geográfico, se deslindan de la mirada cotidiana y abordan al espectador  como unidad de conjunto que intriga casi tanto como todo lo que concierne a éstas; nos hace pensar en quién vive ahí, cómo se vive dentro de ellas  y  la manera en que nos refleja como sociedad hecha de varios pedazos estéticos y temporales.

In the city of El Alto in Bolivia, a peculiar urban architecture has been developing for a few years, expanding throughout the highlands offering colorful structures with striking finishes. This, apart from being a way of aesthetic expression of the architect and the owner of the building, is the identity voice of a thriving social class, merchant and entrepreneur who is not limited when planning and building a home that fulfills multiple functions. These buildings are easily identifiable for having characteristics such as the use of colors and facades busily worked with moldings and applications. That is why I was interested in taking these structures to their most basic lines, making evident the distance of recognition for the viewer. These images face another situation outside their geographical context, move away from the everyday gaze and approach the viewer as a whole unit that intrigues almost as much as everything that concerns them; It makes us think about who lives there, how one lives within them and the way it reflects us as a society made up of various aesthetic and temporal pieces.
